Rebekah enjoys tucking poetry and other creative activities into the cracks of her day left behind after her day job as an ecological consultant. Nature and wild places are where she feels most herself, and what she consistently gravitates toward in her writing. She was recently awarded first place for nonfiction in 2025 Write on the River’s annual writing competition. Her harrowing, true-life story took place on the side of a glacier and dealt with love, mortality, and big decisions.
