National Poetry Month Reading

National Poetry Month Reading

Join Confluence Poets in our annual celebration of National Poetry Month on Friday, April 23!

The Academy of American Poets started this event in 1996, and six years ago Confluence Poets began its celebration. We were thrilled in 2015 when a seven-year-old from Seattle joined us to read a poem! This year, we hope people of all ages will be inspired to write a poem, or find one they wish to read at this online event.

Go to poets.org to find find poems or poets, or for lessons on writing poems in “Materials for Teachers.”

You are invited to participate in this community-building event. Sign up to read when entering the Zoom room, or ahead of time using our contact form.

To participate, use the following Zoom meeting link. The room will open at 6:15 and the event will begin at 6:30 PM Pacific time, Friday January 22.
