Jon Culp began writing in the high mountain desert of North Central Washington. His work appears in the Manastash, Arcturus, Backstory, and Percival Review literary journals. He draws from 40-plus years of working in and around natural resources, from wildland firefighting and trail crew boss to a water conservationist and even a volunteer luge guide at the Loup. His muse lives deep in the Pasayten Wilderness right next to his reset button. A husband, father of five children, a grandfather of one, and the one-time mayor of his hometown, his writing is an eclectic mix of his perceptions of the natural and social world and how we participate in it.
