A pastor, technology consultant, film critic, and editor, he is the author of several scholarly works including <em>Tolkien in Perspective<\/em>, <em>Peter Jackson in Perspective<\/em>, and<em> Two Roads Through Narnia<\/em> as well as the novel <em>West of the Gospel<\/em> (as W. John MacGregor). His poetry has most recently been published by the Washington Poetic Routes project, <em>Whispers of Wenatchee<\/em>, and the <em>Shrub-Steppe Poetry Journal<\/em>.
