The title is taken from the poem of the same name, which Subhaga workshopped with Confluence Poets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Methow Press is particularly pleased to be publishing its first title, and that it belongs to Subhaga. Thanks to Covid-19, the launch will probably take place online&#8230; but we shall see!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pg\/confluencepoets\/events\/?ref=page_internal\">Visit the Confluence Poets Facebook<\/a> page to livestream a series of readings from the volume, Fridays at 11 AM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stay tuned for more details about the book release. It can be <a href=\"https:\/\/confluence-poets-products.company.site\/Blue-Hunger-by-Subhaga-Crystal-Bacon-p199293740\">pre-ordered now via the Confluence Poets store.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Initially, the poems in Subhaga Crystal Bacon\u2019s in this collection show her keen eye for delivering the natural world. It\u2019s tempting to think of her as a naturalist, but as her book progresses it becomes clear that, more broadly, she\u2019s a human nature poet; poems of love and loss and community occur with the same acute precision. For example, in &#8216;Awake at Night&#8217; (one of her complicated love poems) she begins this way, &#8216;I feel beautiful, young and dying \/ as the cricket song lifts and calls \/ and you are far away. No happiness \/ like this.
